I was a bachelor.I was an infamous chap
I lived in the depths of loneliness pit
I was tired of life. I was dry inside
I had no protection from the
gusty weather of despondency
My life needed a drastic change
to save it from hitting the peaks of misery.
Jane saved me.
I Fell in love with her.
I married her.
She showed me the way.
Sluice Gates of hope
flung open for me
I was nearly carried
by floods of love
My star started to rise.
I became a man
My community considered
me as a member
I gained respect.
I gained recognition
I am no more a forlorn
loitering around
Before Jane came into my life
I was just like a small stick
One needed little
strength to break me
When I paired up
with her we bacame two sticks
Now with several children
we are a bundle of sticks
We are inseparable.
We are unbreakable.
We stand united against all odds
We are one.
No woman, No life.
What a wonderful tribute to women in general and your wife in special.
And you know what - you are so right about this! Behind every powerful man stands an even more powerful woman. I am sure this isn't just a saying but the truth.
I wish you all the best with this special relationship.

Beautiful write about the building of strength. Loved the way you used the sticks :-)

The deep-dive literary meditations presented as stories, poems, and essays in The American Poet Who Went Home Again, A Mosaic of My Soul at Work, have captivated and inspired readers ever since its first paperback publication in 2008.
Well written and very inspiring.
