In this changing world of ours
Moralism is lying on its death bed
Billions are spent in space exploration
While millions of lives die in Africa
Malaria kills thousands each month
Preventable diseases claim high toll
In their millions childdren pass away
Only Few attend their first birthday
Much fewer reach the age of five
The rich nations are colonizing space
With thousand times more money
Than could be saved with million lives
In the depths of spiritual emptyness
They buried morality and its values
If the rich are shining like a moon
Their insensitiveness to the poor
is the dark side of the light.

Yep. 3% of the worlds population control 95% of it's wealth. It's quite obscene really. There are unfortunates who suffer in much the same way all over the world, but it is particularly magnified in places such as Africa... as you know only too well. Keep spreading the word Abdi. Somebody in authority has to start listening sooner or later
I certainly understand your plight, Abdi-Noor, though the burden here has to lay somewhat upon the governments of the countries of the dieing. Many times, supplies are sent and intercepted so they never get to the needy people. Other times, the physical ability to get these supplies to the people is just too dangerous. Many times, there is wealth among the leaders who turn their backs on their own people. I am far from opposed to giving aid to people who are in need, but it is up to their own governments to ensure the health and safety of their own and to make sure that the supplies sent, get to those who need them. There is a lot of wealth in Africa among the "elite few" who turn away from their own people. This is a very serious and sad situation and it can be seen in other countries around the globe as well. I pray for simple solutions for your country, but the wealth of other nations and how they spend it, is really up to them. The human side of it all, is that all people should be cared for, though the reality is, indeed, a different situation.

A very convincing assessment Abdi Noor! Sadly there are too many factions and divisions, many say we give too much others say we don't give enough, some argue that people should practice birth control for over-population, some say they don't want to help themselves in these poor countries, and so it goes, in the meantime children die and we have to wonder if everyone is doing what they can to help, and if not why not!
