Birthing Islam in a more vicious way

In the ocean of knowledge
An Island of peace was born
It was a moslem civilization
Shedding light to humanity
Spreading its wings overseas
Discovering lands of fortune
Ruling East and West of the world
Inventing new ideas of science
Sharing essentials with others
Making connivance a vision
Observing religious tolerance
Cooperating with Christians
Working with Jewish scientists

But lack of visionary leaders
Or, say,love of power and opulence
It had sunk in the depths of defeat
Something of its sort is resurfacing
But not in the way it had been born
It is emerging in a form of trepidation
With the spears of terror and shock
Insurgents are re-excavating our past
Am afraid it shall be a defaulted re-birth
