I lost my voice. Since I can't remain quiet I came up with an idea of speaking without a voice. How? That is the Million dollar question. Discover the miracle yourself right now through this poem.
Out of an unbearable stress
I have lost my voice tonight
But still my voice is heard
Not through the vocal cords
But through the internet
I'm writing with a purpose
And with a clarity of vision
I shout in defense of peace
As the sound of my words
reverberate across the world
They go with the wind of love
And make whispers of passion
While injecting fresh joy
To souls possessed by despair
Though I have lost my voice
I'm still a voice of the voiceless

I'm glad you found a good use for the internet, often used for the wrong reasons. Victor
The power of the pen can often exceed the loudest of spoken words, Abdi-Noor. Your frustration is palpable in this excellent expression of flared emotions. I hope that you get your Visa, but I also understand that it is no easy feat to do so, even when you have family here, though a temporary (travel) Visa should be a whole lot less complicated than a permanent or work Visa would be to obtain. You live in a war torn area and as such, we (U.S.A.) should be offering shelter to those who need to come here to survive, at least until things settle down in their own country. The problem is that we are so over-burdened by the number of "illegal" immigrants that we are unable to offer shelter to those immigrants who truly need it. Taking in people whose countries are in trouble is what America has always done, and for me, our inability to do this right now is my deepest frustration in the argument of the "illegals," and one that gets very little attention. Certainly Somalia and several places in the Middle East have people who need shelter from the wars and dropping bombs and a safe haven for their families. I pray that soon we will be able to find a way to curb the "boarder-runners" so that those who truly need our help will, once again, find the open arms of America and a home, either permanent or temporary, and add a new spice to our ever-changing melting pot of people and cultures. I hope you are able to make it to the conference! Keep safe and be well.
Take care,
Sherry
'Better Without You'is a compelling narrative that explores the complexities of an affair, hidden secrets, and abuse. It also highlights a daughter's heartfelt journey as she cares for her mother who is battling dementia.
As always, your friend/sister in America, Karen Lynn in Texas. :(
May the rift be fixed soon; I can sense your frustration and ultimately, your sadness. You are ever in my prayers--
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Take care,
Sherry
And with a clarity of vision
I shout in defence of peace
Keep shouting, mo matter the means.

Take care.
