The Somali waterways have grown extremely dangerous. Ferrying of humanitarian supplies is almost impossible and the children are dying in their makeshift shacks due to starvation. Thanks to the French, Canadian and other nations for stepping up the situation by providing security escort to those ships carrying food aid to the somalis. The US is also patrolling the Somali seas as they are stationed in the tiny nation of Djibouti. With such an intensified effort to protect the ships from pirates, there will be no doubt that many children will find something to eat before they go to bed. (a typical bed is normally a small Somali mat spread on the dusty floor or pieces of empty cartoons patched up together). Many lives will thus be saved accordingly as mortality trends go down dramatically. We do not know how long our people will depend on food aid but the reality is that we shall not be free till we stand on our feet and that is now nowhere in the grim horizon of warlordism. there lies a strait of Babel Mandab
It is the red sea most unsafe waters
It is infested with deadly sea pirates
Militia mounted weapons on speed boats
Vessel hijacking is the order of the day
It is a criminal "quick gain" project
They hold ransom not for the ships
But for the hunger of the children
pirates claim to be human beings
But I doubt ithey have any trace of human gene
Simply they are beasts in a human shape
