Adrift with the frenzy of romantic winds, Ali is waiting for his girl friend, Jamila, with great suspense
Inside his semi-dark room
A man lies on his back
Feeling as much contented
As a turtle in the beach
But deep in his mind
Something is itching
It is eight past ten
Ten minutes after eight
Too late he says
As anxiety bites him
But out from nowhere
Joy was born for him
Jamila knocked his door
It was a golden knock
Like a flame of a candle
His eyes glowed with joy
Loneliness departed
Like silver birds
Melting in the ocean winds
But bewilderment visited him
Soon as he shouted "Helloooooww"
The high pitch of his sound awakened him
It was all a dream
There was no Jamila around
Only a pillow lied beside him
I was right there with you, from beginning to end!
I could feel her coming to you, you have such a way with words Abdi -Noor when going through anguish times in your presence...
This yearning is like an echoe, a loving echoe of ones' heart, with a smile of hope following...God Bless!

The golden knock that many wait for and few have the luck to get.
Bless you my friend, that can still write about love coming from a turmoil where hate and destruction is the order of the day.
A very accomplished author you are.
The awaited 'golden knock' inside the head and the disappointment of reality, we all experience it in some form or way. Thank you for this, Abdi-Noor.

Waiting. Worried. Missing. Loving. Sadness. Melancholy. Your poem expresses each of these words in a most incredible way. You had my attention from the beginning, as I wondered the reason for the lateness. The ending ........ absolutely suprising.
Some dreams can seem so very real and such a disappointment to wake up and find it was just that - a dream. Wonderful display of heartfelt illusion....
Oh what a disappointment, it sounded like a love that would live supreme. Great write you drew me in right away couldn't wait 'til she came. Wonderful write my friend. Hope he finds her soon. Love, Bonnie
