In the village of Degmolaqas, Western Borama of the breakaway republic of Somali-land, people have come under siege for about an hour not from marauding militia men or rag-tag army bands but from a rain that had left rocks of ice after it subsided. It destroyed their farmlands and killed/blinded their animals. What rained in this village could be Sulphuric acid after layers of sulphar dioxide,has been drenchd by rain water. What a horror!
The sky is raining acid snow everyday
But only few around us believe this
They think it is a mere whistle-blow
They are in a deep slumber I dare say
Climate change is impacting negatively
Much to the horror of the innocent
The rich are simply polluting the air
While the poor are paying the price
This is horrific, Abdi-Noor,
as if their lives weren't hard enough already;
every mudslide, flood and drought
the poor get the worst of it, "...paying the price"
