Just to let you have a glimpse at the situation in which I am in terms of survival and security. Being a poet and an author in a war-torn country, Somalia, I feel privileged to share this with you. I do not know how it feels with you to one time dive for cover in fear of being hit by strayed bullets and the other time try to look for the day’s bread.
In science they say an absolute disorder is a pre-requisite condition which has to be attained before a change takes place. This means that you can not cook tea unless the water temperature reaches a certain degree whereby molecules are tossed up and down or break bonds with each other to become free and enjoy in a new state of matter…….. vapor. If warlords wanted us to be their tea, I think we reached the boiling point, we far exceeded the expected level of disorder.
Up there, down here
Anywhere in the country
Clan chiefs are crowned
People carry killer weapons
Kill for the sake of killing
Case never goes to court
Clan elders come together
Blood is just a blood
It is compensated in cash or in camel
In circulation are old cars
Unregistered and unchecked, though
They run any side of the road
No traffic police
No traffic lights
No rule at all
In case of an accident
Clan covers them up
They need no insurance
Numbers? Who cares numbers?
I have no P.O.BOX number
My clan is my contact address
I have no street number
I have no house number
I have no account number
I have no ID number
I have no passport number
I have no license number
But I have an AD number
It is my link to literary life
It is a wonderful site.
My favorites are many
Eileen ranks top of all
She is a Real Jewel
Karla and Karen
Are twin sisters of mine
There is power in their poems
I love Robert and Dani
I love Debashiish and Floria
I love Vesna and lady Peg
Oh, how this touched me; I love you too! What a beautiful write; I am sorry you are living among fear, but I am glad you have time to escape the worries of life by writing and visiting us here at the Den! I hope peace comes to you and your country; you deserve to be safe and happy! My prayers are always with you; you can count on that!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend (and sister) in America, Karen Lynn. :D

Oh Abdi! I read this in tears to think of you and your countrys plight! I'm still praying for you daily, and I wish I could do more.
Seeing Haiti in the news as I type this, wondering if God can keep up with all the chaos that man causes, asking myself why He would want to. However, I know He is All good and merciful unlike us, and He does have answers, so in Him I live and hope and have my being.
Abdi I'm honored to be mentioned among your poet friends. Thank you!
Indeed we do care and my heart cries for the heart of the world who willingly choose life over death and write to share that love with others. If this world were mine there would be no hunger killing or hatred. We all love you too.
New Poetry by Abdi-Noor Haji Mohamed (Eagle Of Hope)
The Wholly Book of Exodus is humorous adult literature that features adult language, situations and content. It is the companion book of Jay Dubya's The Wholly Book of Genesis that satires the entire first book of the Bible.
The Wholly Book
