a photo cannot place a hand
around my waist
or brush its lips along my throat
or feel them slowly move from nape
to ear in a long breathless whisper
a photo cannot place a kiss
upon my lips
or share the tension in the air
as two lovers tongues caress
breathing one into the other
and back again.
but when a photo is all you have
all you’ve shown
from you to me
then the photo in its flat
two-dimensional way
will just have to be enough
to light the flame

Yes, I guess, and as long as that fame is kindled love can flourish and the photo can, and susually does, come to fruitation with moist soon-to-be wet kisses . . . I liked this one . . .

Well penned, Sara! I have never quite seen this image before but it is quite true. Imagine all the happy marriages which caught fire from shared JPEG pics from around the world, and you have caught the essence of this here. Neat!
