Living in the boots of others

Why do we continue to go through life living in the boots of others?

Do we hate our lives so much we can’t stand to look in the mirror?

Don’t you get my message that all of us are really the same?

Connected in a world where we have to find a way to cook together.

There is nowhere to hide from who you truly are deep down inside.

We are all on this roller coaster called life together,

So let’s try to learn from each other rather than fight and haggle,

Violence is not the key, but rather respect for our fellow brother,

I don’t have all the answers, but know love over shadows hate every time,

Where fears drift away under the midnight moon that shines,

So let’s try a little harder, and start the game over

A fresh brand new look at our fate, and that of others

I could be wrong, but only speak from my heart,

Lessons learned from a long life of learning from wise elders

I could teach you the ways of the world if you care to listen

Or just sit with you, and hear your sad story

I know you have many troubles and demons cause so do I

We could help each other out so we both could be whole and strong

Enough words for now cause thoughts and actions are stronger than words

On this up and down road called life, a gift from god where the destination is unknown…
