Barking dogs and blaring sirens in the distance
Murdered dead body in the city morgue
Illegal automatic weapons across the border
Hard drugs and the working whore
Cheating politicians creating the law
Sinners deep within the church acting immoral
Couples having sex in any company corporation office
Kidnappers on the loose performing implore able
Many, many secrets between bonded lovers
Family unit in the suburbs in turmoil
Kid getting in fights at school and failing classes
Food on the dinner table is always spoiled
Controlling mass media in every corner
Just turn on the morning, afternoon, and evening news
Reality television reflecting society’s follies
All this crap just gives you the freaking anxiety blues
I know there is hope somewhere out there
Maybe in a good unread dusty book
Maybe across the Internet digital divide
Or just maybe in a real human stranger’s look
Time is running out for all of us my friend
It will get both you and me in the end
We must start being nice to each other again
Before God decides to hit send
So let’s gaze towards the promising future
And learn from the struggled past
For now live in the immediate present moment
And hold on very, very tight because the ride is getting very, very fast…
