On Passing A Village School

Learning takes place under all circumstances and everywhere.

Nothing but a shadow
Being used for a shelter
And nothing but stones
Being used for desks.
Nothing but a drum
Used instead of a bell
But they know what I know
And can read what I read.
This village school stands
Along the dusty road I passed
Moving about the tree
As the earth rotates each day.
Farmers can tell the time
Each day by this alone
Brave children of the soil
Working for the future
In this dusty classroom

What a special message you can send in these little gems from your experience! Only you who have been out there doing His work can write this: and now your "work" brings a double dividend! So many fine poems (been at your site 30') I'll have to return soon... til then

To create something that a reader can identify with and attach sentiment to, by the simple description of a setting, takes talent. I really liked this poem.

This is truly inspiring to say the least. Most cannot appreciate what they see when they look outside their own realm of reality.
