Just before the day break

Just before the day break

gallows twigs are awake

demanding your lover’s life

as for loving you, they won’t accept

any other price…

Just before the day break

nooses are again awake

asking for your devotee’s neck

as that’s the only thing they consider

is worth hanging and break…

That’s the only thing

that can honor the hangman’s noose

the noose, that so passionately

he went on to choose

and for such a long time

is anxiously waiting to use

to decorate that worthy neck

before pulling off the deck

beneath the helpless feet

of your lover, who can be

what else, but frenzied

as he accepts being hanged again and again

but just can’t refrain from sayin

that it’s still true

that he can’t stop loving you…

Soon the barren walkways

leading to the execution grounds

will be filled with thumping sounds

of heavy boots of death cell guards

The silent, sleepy walkways

that’ll take your lover to his death

will soon become alive

with his last breath

Marching heavy boots

may run through your spine, causing a shiver

but if you listen carefully

they are escorting actually

feeble footsteps of your lover

that never even quiver

eager to go and be hanged in vain

only to uphold the dignity

of your beguiling beauty

Innocent feet

which once dreamed

of walking on the pathways

that reach your doorsteps

sprinkled with flowers and petals

ended up on these walkways

covered with burning coals

and sharp, unforgiving thorns

that all lead to fields of death

where hangmen and nooses await

gunmen focusing not to miss target

guillotines sharpened to decapitate

Just before the sunrise

killing grounds open their eyes

hungry for someone’s life, asking

“Is there anyone worth crucifying?”

Those voices enter the solitude of my pen

and I immediately know, yet again

it’ll be me, letting myself be slain

for how else can I maintain

the rapture of your love spell

in which I always wished to dwell

and how else can I fulfill

my pledge to always love you

so my beloved, my friend

its time for you

to bid me adieu…………..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 A sudden desire

One which does not have
any extension
any height, width
neither length nor girth
nor any continuation
smaller than any measure
wish I were
such a smallest dot

Reading this one again has left me with such a feeling deep within. Melancholy roams through these lines, taking one right to it's lair... Blessings
