“Can you spare some change today?”
The boy, stuck out his hand

“I have no food to eat dear sir”
The boy sniffed; the tears began

“I have no one who takes care of me”
The boy began to cry

“I see the way people look at me”
The boy held his head up high

“But I am all I have dear sir”
The boy hung his head down low

“Help me please this once today”
The boy had no place to go

“I know you hear it all the time”
The boy looked up and he smiled

“But on one day some years from now”
The boy looked him in the eye

“We will both be here, in this very spot”
The boy lowered his head and sighed

“We both will remember this day right then”
The boy looked up to the sky

“Fore God is watching over both of us”
They both began to cry.
