This Sea Inside Of Me

There is this sea inside of me screaming in my ear

It tells me just how useless I am... reminding me of my fear

There is this sea inside of me calling out my name

It wants me to join the rest... forevermore remain

There is this sea inside of me that causes me to hide

It is this life I call my own that I just can not abide

There is this sea inside of me that tells me to run away

And yet there is a grain of doubt that causes me to stay

There is this sea inside of me that builds and overflows

Where this life will take me... no one on earth knows

This sea inside lays dormant now... but only for a while

And during this time I'm thankful, because my heart can finally smile.
