The Song Of The Dark

In a nutshell, this is my way of expressing my love of the night-time.

The darkness sings a song to me that I can understand
The quiet lonely emptiness that I know as my friend
The night-time asks for nothing and offers just the same
Each time the wind blows in your face,
The night has called your name.

The star filled nights are beautiful and something for all to see
Each and every star up there holds our secrets and our key
The bright full moon, it lights our path so we know where we’ve been
To see the moon and stars no more
Should be a mortal sin.

The darkness sings a song to me that I can understand
It gives me time to recollect and think about God’s plan
The night-time asks for nothing and offers just the same
Each time a child cries in the night, you know
God knows your name.

The star filled nights are beautiful and something for all to see
Each and every star up there knows how special you are to me
The moon and stars converge into one just as delicately as the night
Each time a star twinkles down on us
Its God’s way of saying this is right.

The darkness sings a song to me that I can understand
And yet this night is all but gone; the coming day in demand
The night-time asks for nothing and offers just the same
Each time I look up at the stars,
I feel they know my name.

The star filled nights are beautiful and something for all to see
Each and every star up there knows something special about me
The moon and stars are resting now in observance of the new day
Each time the sunshine reaches my eyes,
I await the coming parade.

Stuff You Can Say Everyday by D. Mullis

My son wrote a book of his personal, one liner quotes. Never underestimate the power of simple statements! A very interesting read!
