God and Daddy

The things that God has done for me
Are plain as day for all to see
They all began in years long past
Forevermore the memories last
As a little girl, my daddy was God
His love I had, in his steps I trod
Respect of others he always had
The strength and power to remove the sad
God and daddy are much the same
It is our hearts that you would tame
A gift to us from God above
Both God and daddy are words of love
The answer is simple, you are always there
Because of you God, and daddy we all can care
The examples you set are always held dear
I would take nothing at all for your voice in my ear
As a grown woman now, my daddy is with God
His love I had, in his steps I still trod.
