Flowers in the winter,
bitten by the frost
but yet swaying
in the breeze.
From a distance,
drunk with red:
up close,
stains of blue,
flashes of yellow,
and purple and white;
hundreds of species,
millions of plants:
Nature's diversity
at its very best.

Enjoying the sun,
enjoying the moon
and each other's
inherent tune.
But all these unions,
and all their bliss
connote nothing to me,
cos you are not with me,
O, my darling!

Why don't you
come around,
as the blue sky,
when the clouds
have thinned away?
Why don't you
come around,
as the morning sun,
when the nights
have passed away?

I am passing my days
in sweet remembrance
of those days, we drained.
People say,
I have become pale.
But I wouldn't see
my face in a mirror,
I don't want to see
the face that misses you.

Surely, one day,
I would bend down to the pool
on the full-moon night.
There, my love,
I hope to see you
meditating in the distant sky
amongst the glittering stars.

But if I wave to you,
will you recognize me
from that distance,
and send me kisses
all the way down,
or will you,
in your excitement,
jump from the sky,
like the shooting stars,
to be yet again in my arms.
