If I should choose
Between the riches and you
Oh! Love. What would I do?
I know not what to do, my love
With sighs and alas! I long
For both: the riches and you
But since I can have only one
Amongst the riches and you
I would rather have you, my love
For I can breathe without riches
But certainly not without your love
That is my day and my night
You fostered the love within me
And gave me everlasting light
You took away my blindness
And gave me perpetual sight
You wrapped me from hot Sun
And gave me celestial serene
To march ahead with my life
Among cool clouds and winds
Through loves yawning forests
Towards the domicile of delight
With the tinge of your empathy
Forever in my wondering heart
But oh! Poor treasure.
How far will you go alone?
Estranged from the loves corridor
So count love and not the treasure
For treasure will cease
But true love will never
There is no end to love
It will prevail forever
So, if I should choose
Between the riches and you
Oh! Love
I would forever choose you
