Poem Artwork

I am standing away from you
Hoping to forget you completely
But the more I try to forget you
The more my heart remembers you
And the more I try to run away from you
The more I can sense my devoted legs
Gradually marching towards you
And the more of you that I inspect
The more of me I see reflected in you
What’s the matter with my heart?
I don’t have a single clue, I know
Not, why I fancy to be with you again
I know what I am doing is hurting you
But please forgive me for I really
Don’t know how to live without you
Since I am immensely in love with you
And whenever I think about you
My heart opens up like a beautiful lotus
In the garden of my adore and libertes
My soul towards the gate of your adore
Please, open the gate and let it inside
And embrace it softly with love’s delight
For it yearns to drink the juices of love
From the ripe lips of yours, my love!
Now I seek no copy of my life’s first half
Nor I insist the back up for my future want
And re-write original, my future’s epigraph
If I leave all for you, will you exchange
And be all to me? Shall I never miss
Your sweet talks and the sugary kiss
When I look up, to drop on a new range
Of love and hate, another life than this?
Will you fill my heart with love and
Conquer my grief. Alas! I have grieved
Much, so I am hard to love. Yet, love me,
Will you? Love, open your heart wide
And shelter me beneath your balmy wing

It hurts to love and it loves to hurt. Undying devotion.... These words were so clean and honest. A heart spoke in this. Loved that painting too.

The Heart's Way by Rebecca McKeehan

Love is universal and not limited to the most perfect among us. In this collection of romantic short stories and poetry, love comes to those who are decidedly imperfect, who possess very real human flaws, scars, and challenges. Awaiting us as we are.
