Poem Artwork

I drop at your feet, not because,
I am too feeble, to stand on my own
But for the love’s sake only, to stop you
Marching away, from the trail of my heart
Though I know not, whether you love me,
Or whether you love me not at all
All that I know in this vague land
Is that butter resides hidden in the milk
And in every core resides the love
One just has to churn it with the rod
Of truth, affection, devotion, sincerity,
Harmony and compassion, to get the
Cream of nectar from the vessel of the heart
And bequeath the soul with the garland of love
Now its upto you, love me if you want to
But love me for love’s sake only, and not for
The sake of sympathy, thinking that I am all
Alone in this vast word, because sympathetic
Love is as passionless, as the intercourse with
The drunken whore. So, love me, from your heart
And not from the sympathetic notions of your mind
Because I drop at your feet, not because, I am too feeble,
To stand on my own, but to hold you, and help you
Rise again, incase if you fall down, from the uncertain
Stage of your life, like the leaves in the midst of their prime

This brought a tear to my eye. How true are your words...

"Alone in this vast word, because sympathetic
Love is as passionless, as the intercourse with
The drunken whore. So, love me, from your heart"

Very well, you refresh the cliche' "or whether you love me not at all..."

All that I know in this vague land
Is that butter resides hidden in the milk
And in every core resides the love
One just has to churn it with the rod
Of truth, affection, devotion, sincerity,
Harmony and compassion, to get the
Cream of nectar from the vessel of the heart
And bequeath the soul with the garland of love

Vaguely phallic...but then you did mention drunken whores ealier....you are rarely overstated, cherishing the astute amount of discretion and subtlety.

I wonder why you have alternating capitals to lower case letters when it does not fit the format.

Well, a good poem anyways.

Bhuwan,

This one touched me deeply. I loved your use of metaphors throughout, but I especially liked this:
"All that I know in this vague land
Is that butter resides hidden in the milk
And in every core resides the love
One just has to churn it with the rod
Of truth, affection, devotion, sincerity,
Harmony and compassion, to get the
Cream of nectar from the vessel of the heart
And bequeath the soul with the garland of love"

Thanks, my friend for sharing this one. A full, clapping, standing ovation! Bravo!

"But love me for love’s sake only, and not for
The sake of sympathy, thinking that I am all
Alone in this vast word, because sympathetic
Love is as passionless," -

These were really great lines, and you are so right, love has to come from love, and not from sympathy. Good write indeed, Bhuwan!
