An original poem.

soon another life will be lived. all that

is required is a pillow and the night.

this is where i am. there is no time at

that altar of a dream, no death or sight

to stop the stars from singing. a lonely

woman asked me to join her at tea, but

in my timeless hurry i could only

stay an eternity. i left. she shut

the windows desperately trying to

keep the memories inside. but she will

talk to the next visitor. night and day

were converging, so that the sun will still

be visible at night, and the stars may

be seen in a day that i never knew.
