An original poem.

the advice of polonius entails

too many doubts. i want to borrow from

others. the ancients, extending the grail

to me, have called my name to now become

a lender. i remember the coastline

before the dawn, where my self can be true

to itself, but only until then. shin-

ing light allows mirrors to reflect new

outward images, which betray the soul.

polonius lived only in the night,

where mirrors are stripped of all their power

over men. but the ancients forgave light,

and futures want to borrow. a flower

for polonius, whose belief was whole.
