Driving down the interstate
At a fast rate of speed
The open highway all to myself
When out of nowhere flashing lights
I look around knowing this is for me
So I pull my car off the highway
The police car right behind me
Adjusting my skirt so my legs are showing, he approaches my car
Do you know you are speeding?
Yes sir, I have pizza to take home, I don't want it to get cold
Oh would you like a piece?
The officer looking down at me as I part my legs slightly
Owners registration and drivers license
I think I'm doomed on this one
The officer comes back to my car and says
Everything checks out just fine
Yes I knew it would
He brings his tablet out as I feel the heat surround me
Let me give you a warning, please, slow down and drive safely
Looking at the officer, a smile on my face
Thank you sir, and have a good night
"Everything checks out just fine"... It is the trick, isn't it? "Flashing Lights" is very spirited. It pictures and flashes memories, actvating imagination. I enjoyed it. Thank you for posting it.
