What pushes you over the edge?
Maybe it's a bad marriage
Maybe it's a job change
Maybe your stress level is high
Maybe your car is hit by a deer
Maybe your truck engine blows
Maybe your a looser, you can't do anything right
Maybe the loss of a family member or friend
Or maybe the thoughts of being all alone
Maybe it's all the above
The mind deals with so much
Seems you say evrything is fine
Nothing you can't handle
Knowing deep inside your hurting
Until one day something triggers the mind
A word, thoughts or even a song
The body becomes weak
Uncontrolable crying
Nowhere to turn your all alone
The loneliness leads to a bar
Where you have a drink
That seems to soothe the pain you feel
Only wanting more
Knowing this isn't the answer
But at the time there is no answer
For tonight your all alone

Hi Nancy..I've had my share of problems...and I always look to God..it works for me..there is an inner strength that is so hard to understand and to explain...but I draw from that..the bar is not the answser but unfortunately many go there or just to the bottle...and it never works...you wrote a poem here that we all can relate to...floria

No matter what pushes one to or over the edge, the bar is never the place to find the answer. Take it from one who knows all too well. Friends are closer than you think. God is ALWAYS there!
Everything just gets to that point where there is no turn around..
You had enough........and don't even care about what's coming your way anymore.....a train.......a bus.....or the edge!!

What pushes me over the edge is of my own stupidity.
Over the edge is a place .. when you know you are falling.. into some dark painful place in your mind.. you reach for a hand.. a soul.. but there is no one there.. so you fall .. and hope you have the strength later to climb back out on your own.. because if you don't.. you will not live to see another day. It is when you cannot see tomorrow in your mind.. and don't want to remember yesterday.. It is when you can't think of anything you want to dream about as you close your eyes.. It is being trapped ..yet being free. Misery.
