The passage of time Blooms revive Before leaves dry Before the Lord Divine. Thousands of years Love and heirs Trinkets and what A city wears. For worldly delight Those who thrive on lie, Sensational verse Minds inverse. When ground is steady Under feet, unready For that Day’s plight: Who gets high On the higher Plane? But when Calamity flies And news travels By the teardrops: Life, what a lie. Life, what a lie.

Down through the years, the city becomes many things� Many different things to the people who inhabit it. Cool verses.
