Why shouldn’t I cling to You?
I was nothing and You made me.
A drop of fluidity, that I’m,
A substance by itself insignificant;
A simple matter of nothingness—,
By universal standards a nihility.
Miraculous then how
I am mentioned in heaven.
Angels and Higher beings employed
In my service, to aid
To guide these faltering steps.
When all the doors close down
And the sinner becomes the poor clown
Stares multiply
Taking themselves for Sky;
The Sheikhs, their frowns amplify
Loneliness graze the needy heart
And darkness the soul saturate
You let me in
You let me in.
The human in me an exemplar desired,
And Muhammad, the praised one,
Upon whom be peace,
Into my life came.
And like a mother my baby steps
How he cheered on
How he cheered on.
You let me in
You let me in.
He will remember you
Then you will remember Him.
O returner, Mercy has no boundary.
I falter by the second,
Need constant telling,
So You speak to me,
And to my unworthy plea,
I know You listen,
As though my clumsy babble were
Bejeweled with wisdom.
Despondency many a soul unsettled,
Like a specially dark winter
When the skeletons in their baldness
Like angry crows blacken the horizon.
Despondency many a soul unsettled,
Amazing when by the hand of God,
Like a fresh new dye with its brightness
A harbinger of hope, light and ease,
Joy from One Mighty, Kindness, Love
Without cease
Amazing how gratitude fills the void.
Why shouldn’t I cling to You?

"When the skeletons, in their baldness
Like angry crows blacken the horizon."
But I don't see why you added a comma after skeletons? It seems out of place.
