SAMMY THE SEA HORSE Sarah Jane got a tattoo a sea horse just above her ankle she called him Sammy - I'm Sammy, and I'm in the swim. around the coral reel I flicker my dorsal fin. Sucking up shrimp in the sea-grass has doubled my weight I'm Sammy and I feel great! Sammy and Sarah Jane, I've bought a sea horse key ring. ��

I like your shifting of perspective in this poem as you take the reader from the literal to the metaphorical and back again to the concrete. A bit like traipsing through the maze in an M.C. Escher graphic.

A touch of the old Ivor Cutler wry here. Also reminded me of King Missiles epic, 'jumping over a lasagne.'
Sammy the sea horse, an epic tattoo personified - from existence in dough to life on the flesh. Very witty Wilde, very very witty!
