THE MEN
Too bad, Elvis never learned flower-arranging,
Brando never learned origami or paper-cutting,
Richard Burton couldn't weave a rug,
Tom Jones never learned how to knit.
Too bad, Elvis would have been king of the flower men,
Brando paper-cuts would be highly dramatic,
a Burton rug would be as green as the Welsh valleys,
a Tom Jones sweater would be a chunky knit.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
