'Harry Potter Things' is a recollection of a friend's horror at having to share our hostel room with a young Muslim guy who took out his prayer rug in front of us. He seemed to her eyes the personification of the supernatural. Ha!
HARRY POTTER THINGS
He laid a prayer rug on the floor,
flashed a smile and made a bow.
You glared at the supernatural sight;
He’s full of Harry Potter things!
No lamp or magic rings, dear,
No wizard mark on his brow,
So, forget these Harry Potter things
And we'll find another hotel tonight!
Your verses always make me read and read again. I love trying to get at the "gist" of what you are shari; and it's always a pleasure. Thank you, Kenny. Love and peace,
