I'm not into psychedelics, John
(after a bad magic mushroom trip)
but I enjoyed Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
and you definitely put the blush
on Strawberry fields

I twist and shout, spin and scream
And listen often to your #9 dream

I've thought about moving to Liverpool
but times are hard for dreamers
and everyone's into fighting
and football and computers

not enlightenment, no lighting!

so, John, in passing, I'll just say
people still hide their love away
but across the universe I imagine
it's different, surely?
