Not wrecked, but lowered here
to be a habitat for coraliths,
precursors of coral reefs,
deepest reds and strongest azure,
fireworms, sponges and algae,
an artist reaching for my colours
weightless, and in my element.
An ancient Greek or Roman statue,
I preside over an underwater senate,
a city you never knew, a world
you never imagined!
