Pearls should be worn on necklaces,
Should be around your chest,
they need to be seen.
Divers bravely go under the sea
for pearls are wonderful things
precious like your clear blue eyes
that shine like the light of faith,
let the fishermen sing!
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
