Pearls have their own language, Pearly
Friends, you're not in the light if you think it's girly
to be washed by the waves and the moonlight
caressing a pearl-round face, porcelain fine.
Epiphany, such great revelations,
the noble thoughts of pearl king and queen.
Leaving the shore, running to the sea
A bright future for mankind, goodbye, land!
Pearly, a secret tongue like Romani,
gypsy language heard around campfire and caravan.
Pearly is a language that rolls with romance,
Pearly is wisdom, Pearly is our last chance to shine.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
