Snowman Reading His Poems

All the elves are listening
The reindeer drawing near, too
The winter fox and hare.

The snowman understands
Indomitable winter lives - creatures
Struggling so hard to survive.

He tells them about the Snow Queen
who always makes it Wintertime;
Fairytales not written for a long time.

A snowman doesn't need to go
To university to tell a good story
Like Hans Christian Andersen.

The snowman reads his poems,
They're magical like Narnia; "I've been there
In Oxford and the county Down.

Winter there is much more damp;
Russians shiver in Northern Ireland.
It's true , friends, but no one believes it."
