PUNCTUATION IN POETRY

Dot dash parentheses
To all of you going without "exclamation marks"
Nudists on a private beach, wobbling your bits,
and going with the flow like ellipses ...

Have you learned the rules, no punctuation in poetry
No question mark above and it seems bare somehow
Colons and semicolons, apostrophes
And exclamation marks

It seems punctuation
Is a big resounding, confusing
Confounding categorical, No
Something here I’m not getting

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
