2 Kings 2:23-25 presents a bizarre story about the prophet Elisha. What might it mean?
Head Freakin’ Elisha heading for Bethel To preach the word of the Lord His shiny bald head reflecting bright sun Trees of the forest blowing in the wind The number was large at forty-two Headed straight for Elisha’s road From the skyscrapers they came Little boys laughing and making big fun Jeering “Baldhead! Baldhead! Funny-looking Baldhead! Go away baldhead!” Elisha turns his shining balded head Looking at the little boys with hate. “Cursed! Cursed in the Godhead’s name!” And bears! Bears! Two female bears! Huge paws! Sharp claws! Teeth! And TEETH! Out from the forest and the trees. Bears! Forty-two laughing, jeering little boys Now crying, blood pouring out! Clawed! Bitten! Heads hurting! Hated by the prophet! Hated by God! Forty-two God-hated bloodied little boys Running from the female bears! Freakin’ Elisha headed to Mount Carmel Then headed back to Samaria. Aren't myths fun! This is probably one that King James, the gay one, mistranslated from the ancient scripts like many more because many of the ancient words had many meetings like modern English today, and the translators just plain got it wrong, making some passages peer nonsense.
