Poem is about the street life and being caught up in walking the streets having a pimp to steal your soul and life. So many young girls each day get caught up in this life either on thier own or by human trafficking.

Harlot scarlet dressed in silk pressed satin shoes as she strolls the street that copulates its doom.

So many nights not a dime did she make but

the pimps still try to retrieve their money make

no mistake.

Her thoughts are of a secret rendezvous where she was the trick that got picked she would not have to pay a dime because the man found her beautiful and just wanted to spend some time.

Tracing her face with the loveliness

that hides behind the cash flow of time.

constantly asking the dreaded question each day

as she lies on her back, what future will she have

when the day comes she can’t make any cash.

“Hey “ mister got some time?  Only cost you

fifty dollars for some sweet wine!

As she looks to see how much can she stash

of the money she will make without losing

the pimps cut as she seeked a trace of his face

knowing he was close at watch, she knew

time was precious and she was still on the clock.

Peddling her stuff like a jar of honey

for nickels and dimes which ain’t a whole lot of money, just a waste and lot of pain for those who are blind caught up in the street walking game.
