I've More Than A While...

Show me creation...show me your soul
Will you pen me some pages, outrageously bold?
Paint me a morning... a sunset at night
Stud it with stars, that shine pure and bright...

Share with me shadows, the ones you can't hide
Show me the shadow that walks by your side
Reach out your hand when you pass with a smile
There's no need to rush... I've  more than a while...

Tell  me an old joke straight from the past
And I'll laugh with delight and pretend it's a blast
What's up for tomorrow, tell me how was your day
You've got my attention, it won't drift away

Write of the mundane, the holy, the sane
Scribe till your hands can't keep up with your brain
Lead me beyond, what the written conveys
Show me the truth, that your lips dare not say


I don't want to write, for the sake of a write
Just to put down some words to appease
But I sometimes can't wait...to sometimes create
These feelings that bring their own ease
The shadows, the laughter, the jokes, that you tell
Can open the heavens...or kick me to hell

So let's plot our map that leads to that spot
Where legends are buried along with the lot
Don't speak of the hum drum...you'll drive me insane
But conjure the magic...your stories contain

Be my companion, my mentor, my sage
Write me an epic...Let's travel your page...
Take flight in the write, excite, and inspire
Bring it to life, with zeal and with fire

Sharing creation, can soothe and bring peace
I whisper your words.....and find....my release
