Poem Artwork

Cold-hearted orb that rules the night

Removes the colors from our sight
Red is grey and yellow white
And we decide which is right
And which is an illusion?

From Knights In White Satin-Moody Blues

~SPARKLE MADNESS IN THE NIGHT~

Awoken from troubled sleep

Stood up to fall down in a heap

Sight awash in crusty tears

Twlight borders, vanish clear

Wrestled fancies.. joined by dream

Tranced envisions bow supreme

Seduced and eager.... softly lured

Dance on clouds, then fly secure

Gem of madness in the night

Sparkle, fire, sparkle bright

Captured reason......blinding gleam

Falling free thru quilted dreams

Dreaming that you are awake

Escape the sparkle, by a shake

Reason clear with day ahead

Fibered echos......blanket bed

A

Stars and wishes/dreams have long been associated but I love the fresh "wake-up" call you give to our dream-association: you make this vibrant and urgent, instead of sleepy!! Well-crafted with its "Twinkle, Twinkle" Nursery Rhyme format. When my daily moods seem inexplicable, I wonder if I'm operating out of the effects of the previous night's unremembered dream... feeble excuse, I know, but somehow plausible! And YOURS are about to come true, dear Lady, so make sure you're wide awake to keep following...!!! :))))) TY Kate xx

Lady A, this is an exceptionally well-penned explosive composition which could easily become a sensational song. An absolutely beautiful pulsating poetic treasure. Thank you for sharing it. Take care and be well.
