DO U THINK YOU KNOW THE POETS BY THEIR WORDS?

Might you recognize yourself...your mind
As you read.....another's lines?
Is your interest keen, and are you stroked
To smile wide....as humor's poked?
Have you found a line, that may ring true
Or concepts that are somewhat new?
Can you feel the pain, another bears
When words reach out, for hands to share?
Do you think some lie, or at least they try
To create a self.......an alibi?
Can they sometimes make you stop and think
You're not alone.....we're all in sync?
Do you wish some souls would not bear all
That they'd toughen up....and never bawl?
If only we could touch a hand
To let them know.......we understand
Do you laugh when poets want to play
And goof around.....not much to say?
Do you smile, at style....you just don't "get"?
Or grab the ice.....for "ADULT CONTENT"
Do you think its DYNAMITE?......I do!
To see the efforts.........we all pursue!!
