ARRESTED FLORAL DEVELOPMENT

Round the petals, slept in row

As oddly did one deftly grow

Elements had frayed it's edge

As near perfection framed it's wedge

Why the phlower would hold on

To such a blemish it had spawned

When every petal...posed as told

This shabby pad looked bent and old

The wind would try to pry the petal

As it would whip, and howl as nettle

And yet the ph-lower did hold on

For empty spaces......show......whats gone

A

The Frayed Petal

I think we all have the ability to be like that tattered battered flower and hang in when things get rough and the winds turn stormy.
Good write Lady,
Felix

... cut and paste Aberjhani... let's hear it for the phlowers who know for certain darn sure that "-lower" is power on its head!! You always turn me inside out and upside down with the uniqueness of your divine perspectives - to say nothing of your poetic ability to transpose them into words. You are a gift. TY Kate xx

It takes a keen poetic vision to recognize, as you do in ARRESTED FLORAL DEVELOPMENT, that satisfying beauty and inspiration can be experienced through even the smallest and least obvious objects and circumstances. Where the minds of most others would have dismissed such sight, yours transformed it into a poem that blossoms repeatedly inside one's heart.

Nothing 'arrested' about this captivating and thought provoking poem, Anita.

This is so encouraging and such a strong message in such a unique way. even the ph- spelling keeps the individuality and uniqeness about it as we are. I love this. and yet the ph-lower did hold on For empty spaces show what's gone. Superb Excellence!xo
