Have you ever "experienced" a poem? Sometimes all you need is a nudge, to realize words are  SO alive.  I was recently nudged, into "another" realm.  Where words do have life, magic and sensation!  A banquet of realization.

We carry within us the wonders we seek without us.~Sir Thomas Browne

Runes Of Sensual Magic

Tell me poet, may I ask
What potion marks your ink
For when I read your magic words
I find our thoughts are linked

Wordsmith, is it alchemy
For I have words as you
Yet mine remain, within their frame
While yours are mystic brew

Tell me poet, why oh why
Does my heart feel embraced
If I were blind, I'd feel your words
Before I touched your face

Wordsmith, you have forged the bowl
Then filled it with your prose
As flora for the tongue
And perfumes for the soul

Poet, I have read your words
They quench my thirst like wine
Each stanza new, as breath to me
Possessed and claimed as mine

Wordsmith, may your river flow
Eastward on it's course
Through mists of inspiration
Enchantment at it's source

Poet, you have quenched my thirst
I slowly sip your words
To savor under midnight's veil
As dream and thought are merged

... THESE are my favourite stanzas, Anita, but the whole is pure poetic ambrosial nectar and you could be staring Narcissistic into pools of your own making, my Dear. One of your skilfully crafted best, Darlin... I LOVE this!! :)) TY K xx

Rumi said that in poems dwell presences and the most fortunate readers are those who learn to dwell for a time with the presence as well as the words of the poem. RUNES OF SENSUAL MAGIC would indicate that its author is among the more fortunate readers as well as an astonishingly gifted poet in her own right. Much gratitude for the enthralling read--

Graphic image and verses complement one another most effectively, Anita. This totally engaging; I love the rhyme and rhythm sequence as well. To me, the latter indicate discipline and thought. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,

Not only that, I would smell the fragrance of your words - not words, lyrics, this is a very lyrical poem. A duet between beats of the same Celtic inspired heart. The whole Pictish mystic presense is here. One gets the sense that even the rocks and the river are able to recite these timeless lyrics. Sensual? As high as the shrill of a swooping kestrel hawk. And when this is heard, the glen stirs into life. In other words, Anita, this lyrical sojourn gives the image its voice and air. Magic indeed.

We all have a sensation that there are others who are better than us. I feel it constantly. But you are great and this is a great poem. Victor

Superb write and a beautiful one I might add. Very alive and full of sensory, exceptionally written, I too have read other author's work and felt that we were drinking from the same cup, as if we were kindred spirits. You have captured it well!

Amazing, brilliant, moving and welcomed wisdom for the bard who paints with their pen. Anita, I have the highest respect for you and this poem. It sheds light on the deeper reasons to enjoy poetry and qualifies the Muse's path for exposure.
Love and harmony my friend.

I thank you dear sweet poetess
for the enlightenment of praise
I feel a bond of kinship stron
words melt together in our days
Your kindness longs to touch my heart
my soul craves your embrace
Sweet poetess I must confess
your word images I trace...

Sorry I know not who inspired you to such a beautiful tribute but these words came to me and I just wanted to reply, hope you don't mind.

Anita of the Clan Enchantment ...

"As dream and thought are merged."

A line that describes much of what an artist/writer strives for. These places that you speak of are all around us. They are like hidden portals waiting for a key. What that key is, and why we struggle with finding the key, and then at times struggle with knowing sometimes that we have the key, can only be construed as part of the journey.

We are on this path of discovery, but we don't see all the idiosyncrasies of the path. Such a mind and heart as yours will find many keys in her life, and will bless many when she does.

An exquisite write ...
