Naked Innocence

Vessel of birth, chalice for thirst
Arise on the morn, hover the earth
Sleep gently stranger, rest unrevealed
Breathing the air, coming unsealed

Wombed in the flight over the sea
Cracking the shell, breath of the free
Dawn of a life, fresh as a breeze
Fruit of the deed, harvested seed

Innocence filled, innocence spilled
Genuine heart, tempo instilled
Sleep softly now, as time commands
Conformity, rules, and tribal demands

Stretch in the luxury of naked skin
Clueless of vanities, shameful as sin
Judge not another, judge not yourself
By innocence true , there lies your wealth

Come knowing naught, yet knowing all
Ascending before, the cry & the crawl
Ascending, descending gently to earth
Vessel of worth.....spiritual birth

And we all stand naked before the power of God. Naked and vulnerable and yet protected by his love. Welcome back. This is a beautiful write.
God Bless,

Ah, nakedness and innocense before the apple.
We come into the world naked, we go out naked, and in the beginning, we were meant to live naked. Trust Eve to go and spoil our innocense!
We try to cover up our hearts as well. Who amongst us wants to show this naked to the world?

A lovely Christmas poem Anita! I like the reconcilliation of opposites here. Outstanding! This is my favorite part:
"Come knowing naught, yet knowing all
Ascending before, the cry & the crawl
Ascending, descending gently to earth
Vessel of worth.....spiritual birth"
Merry Christmas!

...and that precious seed comes to us, knowing more than we have answers for and understand more than will be remembered. It seems to me that we start out a lot wiser than we become, and then with age, we gain the wisdom of all we had forgotten. Life seems like a replay where we have a second opportunity not to make the same mistakes as the lifetime before. This is a beautiful poem, Anita, written with such grace and wonderful flow..and of course, you just gotta know that I love the rhyme!
Take care,
Sherry

This is fantastic, the poem and the graphic are both so filled with birth and life that they blend together almost in a perfect harmony of the senses.
