Who's your street stanza dealer? Sounds like you have the linguistic shakes, friend. 'Pen! Pen! I must have a pen!' she cries. 'Ah, I know who you need':
Sings, 'Heh, Mr Tambourine man, play a song for me...etc etc'
(We all know who this man was don't we?)
Ha! I love this. I too roll them up in my bathroom corners, breathe them in with gulping lungs, and exhale slowly-- tasting each syllable--assonance and alliterations stream from my nose-- my eyes water... MORE! MORE! MORE!
The sad part is, a pax, there's no hope for us bardiholics. So long as its relatively cheap, and the quality is good, I'm afraid we're in to the finish. The good part, though, is that I hear AD is a great place to come-- talk about poetry-- get it out in the open, you know, and vent.
EFFORTLESS BRILLIANCE!!! You give me such a hunger for fat rhymes and juicy metre... my own meagre diet leaves me wasting. My personal ebriosity is an in-ebriosity of wordplay and shadowlands which can only admire your healthy poetic curves. I reckon I shall have to indulge in some hyperbolic steroids to improve my performance (don't mind me... have the paralympics on my mind!!) I have so missed you and your whacky Biogs. Hope you're well, Darlin. Kate xx
Anita ...
This flows well and has a good message. I agree too - there is some kind of a high in the process. Of course how high the high gets depends on the subject matter. There are some poetic writes that will never be anything except a cathartic.
Anita, this is so endearing, as is all of your work. And, having recently lost one of my best friends (Deanna Love) on Aug 25, 2008, I definitely need this light-hearted treat! Blessings. -- Jeff
Ah you are so write er ah right, I know when I tell or talk of poetry to my friends and family for the most part they look at me as if I am at the very least nuts or some kind of pedophilac writer but I keep on even if it is only for my friends here on the Den.
What an outstanding write, Pax! Seems I always learn something from your works, and I appreciate that!
Blessings and Love - Micke
(btw...had to check dictionary on that word....ebriosity :o)
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
Sings, 'Heh, Mr Tambourine man, play a song for me...etc etc'
(We all know who this man was don't we?)
High, higher, highest, bliss indeed.
