Our friendship is a priceless gift
A treasure oh, so rare
You give my spirit such a lift
Because I know, you care
Over the years, we’ve shared so much
As only true friends could
The good, the fair, the bad and such
You’ve always understood.
I need not send you candy hearts
Or roses tied in string
I need not bake you apple tarts
You don’t expect a thing
But for Valentine’s Day, I felt
The least that I could do
Would be to tell you how I melt
Whenever I’m with you.
I do not melt in mushy ways
But, my true feelings shine
As my buddy, you’re there always
You are my Valentine
My Valentine of hope and joy
On whom I can depend
My Valentine I can’t annoy
Happy Valentine’s Day, friend.
