We need to know God personally.
He spared my life for this day He knew that I would accept him as my Savior That the angels in heaven would rejoice I could have been lost forever He sent laborers across my path I am glad that I got to know my God For He is a merciful God A God of grace and peace A God of love A forgiving God, is He There is no pain in him, He is a healer No loneliness in him, He is a comforter No poverty in him, He is a provider No sadness in him, He is joy No worry in him, He is peace No death, for He is eternity I am glad that I got to know my God For there were times that I felt all alone Darkness filled my soul, without a friend Where life problems seemed to have gotten the best of me Where the pains of life were hurtful Without a friend A time of great challenges and battles Without a friend, I faced all alone A time of rejoicing, but no friend But a change came, that caused me to separate myself from this world of pain He spared my life for this day He knew that I would accept him as my Savior The angels in heaven rejoiced when I gave my life to Jesus Christ who saved my soul Where I found a Friend Who became the Shepherd of my soul Who will never leave me A friend who comforts me when I am lonely A friend who will heal my wounds A friend who will heal my broken heart over and over again I am glad I got to know my God He spared my life for this day He knew that I would accept him That the angels in heaven would rejoice I could have been lost forever He sent laborers across my path I am glad that I got to know my God So when this world cares bring pain into my life, I have a friend, who will always be with me A friend who will put joy back in my soul Remove the loneliness Remove the pains of life A friend who will always be there For I am glad I got to know my God His greatness, his love, his strength, his awesomeness For I know my God For I know he will heal you from sickness and disease For I know he will deliver you from poverty For I know he will set you free from any strongholds in your life For I know he will fight your battles For I know, for I know he will save your soul For I know he will be your friend, when you let him in your heart For I know, for I know, for I know my God I am glad I got to know you for myself I am glad I got to know my God copyright . 2002
