You'll be leaving Las Vegas
Under the gun.
Held tightly in handcuffs,
No longer on the run.
What were you thinking,
Mr. McCoy?
That the spirit of our community
Was easily destroyed?
You had our attention,
I'll grant you that,
Firing from bridges,
Where you patiently sat.
But from the beginning,
You were on borrowed time,
Murder and mayhem,
Those were your crimes.
How is it that you are
Such a fool?
For none but a coward
Would fire at schools.
There are terrorists at large,
But you were our neighbor.
And we cannot understand
How this is something you would savor.
But for all that you are,
And all that you are not,
We are collectively grateful,
That you're a lousy shot.
i'm from ohio originally, live in texas now, and my parents still live in mansfield. i was relieved to hear they caught him...now, i hope they have the right man, and that there are no copycats.
