Poem Artwork

My world is a symphony
Of sights, and sounds, and sensations.
It is a banquet of all that can be felt,
As today flows into tomorrow.

I love to be carried away
By tastes and glimpses.
I long to be nurtured
By loving thoughts and embraces.

The sun burns away
The morning mist,
And flowers rise to meet it.
The vegetable garden
Erupts through the soil,
And it is as if
I can stand there and watch it grow.

We saw a pair of geese,
Mates forever,
And six fluffy goslings
Following behind.
Families can be found at every turn.

The years roll by
And the experiences become more special.
Simple things are appreciated with more vigor.
Respect life in all of its shades.

My God fills my heart
With love for this life.
For all of the pain and sadness,
The balance sheet is in the black.
It has, after all, been a good life through and through.

I hear a song at my core;
Gentle tones and soothing notes.
I ask from whence it comes,
But I know that it is the song of life.
