Poem Artwork

Morning time,
And nursery rhymes,
As nature comes alive.
The Cat in Hat
Comes strolling back,
As a flying squirrel
Makes the day’s first dive.

Green Eggs and Ham
Would be fine for me,
But waffles and syrup
Would be better.
Would I like some
Cream of Wheat,
You ask?
No, the answer to that
Would be “never”.

It’s just another
Glorious morn;
Each one better than the last,
If I’m not getting older,
But only better,
Then I’m getting better
Awfully fast.

Go Dog Go, you say,
But not on the living room rug.
You can do your business,
In the lovely back yard,
Then back in for my morning hug.

I’m glad that Alice
Is in Wonderland,
If the Grinch
Is taking Christmas away.
Perhaps Horton Will
Hear a Who,
In Whoville far away.

There is surely not
A Wocket in my Socket,
As I sit here in the tree,
And I’m not the hunter,
That you think I am,
I’m Sam I Am,
You see…
